James Burnham, FPFS

James is a Chartered Financial Planner at One Four Nine Wealth, based in London. He has worked in the financial planning industry since 2008, reaching Chartered status in 2014, and is a Fellow of the Personal Finance Society. He is a firm believer in the power of lifetime financial planning to transform client’s lives by bringing clarity and purpose to their financial affairs. By taking the time to listen to clients and understand what is truly important to them, he works with them, and other professionals where appropriate, to help develop and coordinate a financial plan tailored to meet their individual needs and objectives.

By regularly reviewing their plan and responding to personal, economic, legislative, and other changes as necessary, he aims to build a long-term relationship as a trusted adviser and to bring clients and their families peace of mind and a sense of confidence and understanding in their financial affairs.

His role includes the provision of pension and retirement planning, investment advice, overall wealth structuring, and estate and legacy planning. James is an ardent user of cashflow modelling to help clients visualise complex scenarios in an accessible and digestible way.

James studied at the University of Exeter as an undergraduate and completed his Master’s at King’s College London. He has worked at a number of independent financial planning firms and a large wealth management firm, giving him a wide range of experience and perspectives.

Outside of the office, James is a keen traveller, having visited over 70 countries. Closer to home, he enjoys spending time with friends and family, visiting London’s museums and galleries, and going for long walks in the countryside. Having learned conversational Portuguese, his current focus is on improving his Spanish.
